Okay, readers! OWL wants to know:
Did you see the awesome penguin photo in OWL’s December issue? The issue is available now, so go out and grab a copy if you haven’t yet! Then check out this cool video of Canadian photographer Paul Nicklen on assignment with some emperor penguins in Antarctica.*
*In our December issue, we said this video was about emperor penguins in the Arctic. This was a mistake. Sorry about that! Emperor penguins live in Antarctica. In fact, they are the only penguin species to spend their lives on the ice or in the surrounding waters of Antarctica. Brave birds!
Do you know any cool facts about penguins or other animals? Email us, or tell us in the comments below.
And don’t forget to keep up with us on our daily news website: owlconnected.com.
In the November issue of OWL, we told you that over 19 BILLION Lego pieces are made every year. Wow, right? Well, here’s something else that’s pretty wow-worthy… the world’s tallest Lego tower!
Check it out.
We’d love to see your Lego creations! Send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the June issue of OWL Magazine, we shared this awesome shot:
Now, let’s watch this sport in action! But first, just a friendly reminder that the guys in this video (the Serrasolses brothers) are pros. They’ve been doing this stuff for a long time. We don’t recommend that anyone try whitewater kayaking, or any of the stunts in this video, without the proper training and equipment.
Okay, on to the video now. Enjoy!
