Project helps bring books
to schools in Tanzania.

If you can read and write, you can do, and be, anything! That's why CODE (short for Canadian Organization for Development through Education) started The Children's Book Project. It's an organization that helps books get written by Tanzanian authors in Swahili. CODE wants children in Tanzania to be able to read books with African stories and characters. They send books to schools all across Tanzania. The schools don't have to pay for them, so the libraries are filling up with books written in Swahili.
