In this edition of OWL Voices, Sorcha tells us a little bit about herself.
Hello, my name is Sorcha. I am 12 years old but I will be 13 in couple of weeks. I am an only child and live with my mom and dad. I have a lot of really good friends that I visit a lot. I read loads. My favourite books are the Harry Potter books, and I have to restrain myself from re-reading them all the time! I am also a very big fan girl and watch a lot of TV shows like Doctor Who and Sherlock!
I am very artsy and so I have a lot of artsy hobbies. I like to play the piano, make bracelets, paint, act in plays, edit videos, and draw comics. But the two things I like to do best are writing and drawing. I have so many story ideas running through my head all the time, but I don’t write them down right away. Often before I write I like drawing the characters so I can get a better idea of who they are, what they wear and how they move. The problem is that I get carried away in drawing and don’t always take the time to actually write!
I am also passionate about the environment. All the issues about pollution concern me. I don’t know when, and I don’t know exactly what, but I’m going to try to do something really big that will help our planet.
I have been subscribing to OWL Magazine for nearly four years and I read every issue cover to cover as soon as I get it. It’s been very inspiring to me and I’ve learned a lot of cool things from it. My favourite parts are probably “Alex and Charlie” and “Weird Zone,” although I like a lot of other things too. OWL is amazing!
Thanks, Sorcha! What an amazing write-up.
