Playing Board Games with Nelson Mandela Park PS
Hi, readers!
At chickaDEE, we love making and playing board games! So when we heard that the grade 1/2 class at Nelson Mandela Park PS made some board games about health and science, we asked them if we could come play.
The board games were made with the help of a few nursing students from Ryerson University in Toronto. The games teach players about the human body, nutrition and keeping healthy. And they were fun, too!
Here are some of the games we played:

Zombie Heart Attack
This game is about keeping the heart healthy with exercise and nutrition.

The Label Game
This game teaches players how to read nutrition labels on food.

Good Fats Bad Fats
This game teaches players which which fats are healthy and which ones are unhealthy.

The Growing Amina
This game teaches players about proteins and how they help your body grow.

Sweet Energy
This game teaches players about how your body uses sugar.
We played so many awesome board games and we learned alot! Thank you to Ms. Wolfe’s grade 1/2 class at Nelson Mandela Park Public School for a great day.
