Amazing Animal: Macaw
Hi readers!
Have you had a chance to check out the Amazing Animal in the March issue of Chirp? Macaws are very colourful birds, which makes them perfect for the Art issue!
Here are more facts about these feathered friends:
1) Macaws use their beaks like a tool to crack open tough seeds and nutshells!
2) Their colourful feathers help them blend into their bright rainforest home. This helps them to go unnoticed by hungry enemies, like jaguars.
3) They love to take baths. Macaws have been spotted splashing around in puddles of water.
4) Macaws are loud! Their shrieking calls help them let other macaws know where to find them.
Turn to page 20 in the March issue of Chirp for more information about this bright bird!
