Meiofauna In Action
Hi readers,
In the June issue, we told you about meiofauna, microscopic creatures that live in the sand and gravel of beaches and ocean floors.
Take a closer look at a tardigrade, also called a water bear, in this video.
So tiny but so cool! Lots of creatures survive by eating the tiny meiofauna including the sand bubbler crab, who scoops up sands into it’s mouth, eats the meiofauna, then spits out the sand in a ball.
Check out this bonus video of a crab in action!
