OWL’s June Issue is Here!

We’re so excited to share the June issue with you! Not only is it our special birthday issue—we’re celebrating 40 awesome years here at OWL Magazine—but it’s also a special collector’s edition featuring the winner of our cover contest. Check out the amazing artwork by 12 year-old Jenny Zhu!

We asked Jenny to share her advice for other young artists out there. Here’s what she said:

“My best advice for other young artists is to draw something that you are comfortable with. You can’t draw something good without liking what you draw, so be creative!”

Hey There, May!

What’s the weather like today? You probably ask that question just about every day. I know I do! Weather is a huge part of our lives, so we decided to tackle the topic. From lightning and rainbows to storm-tracking technology and a wacky weather quiz, we’re wild about weather in the May issue!

Correction in OWL’s April issue

In our April issue, we published an article about amazing animal migrations called “The Long Journey Home.” The longest known migration of any mammal is made by the grey whale. Every year, they swim a round-trip journey of up to 20,000 km (12,400 mi.)! Impressive, right?
