Book Club: The Sight by Judy Blundell
The Sight was recommended by blog reader Hannah.
We’re going to concentrate our conversation around Book 1: Premonitions.
Synopsis:
Gracie has premonitions. They’ve haunted her since before her mother’s death, and she can’t get rid of them. She never knows whether she’s seeing the past, the present, or the future, and there’s no stopping them. So Gracie is forced to try to use her premonitions when her best friend, Emily, disappears.
Editor’s Note:
If you love mystery books, you’re going to love The Sight. This book will definitely keep you on edge and Gracie’s inquisitive nature keeps the plot line moving. This content and storyline is more for the teen-aged group so keep this in mind before choosing to read it or not.
Here are my questions for you:
1. Do you think Diego played an important role in Gracie’s life? If so, why?
2. How did Emily’s disappearance change Gracie?
3. Have you ever experienced something like a premonition?
Let me know what you thought of this book!

1. Do you think Diego played an important role in Gracie’s life? If so, why?
Yes because it’s always good to have a brother to save you when you need help or to drive you places.
2. How did Emily’s disappearance change Gracie?
Well she realized that she was too harsh on Emily. She realized that she actually missed Emily.
3. Have you ever experienced something like a premonition?
Something I know – what we are having for dinner.
Are we going to discuss the second book beacuse that was my favourite?
I hope other people read the book.
We definitely can discuss the second book! Why was it your favourite?
I thought that the second book had more vivid premonitions and it was even more intense. Gracie is very stubborn though and continues to push people away in her life. I really liked how Gracie was trying to understand and learn from her premonitions in book 2. What did you think when her father showed up?
it was more weird and strange. In the second book Noah was just weird. But in the second book her father was mysterious. I hope that he went back to his wife.
I started reading this book but I found it a bit scary. I prefer funny books.
scary really how ?
I read this book awhile back but I LOVED it. I decided that if it’s turned into a movie, I want Jennifer Lawrence to play Gracie.
premonitions
Why is that scary? Well the book is intended for a higher audience.
Hey hanah, i thought you were 11 or something?!?
