Book Review: The Day the Ocean Disappeared

I just read a cool book called The Day the Ocean Disappeared, written by Denise Dias and illustrated by Tara Winterhalt. If you like learning about the ocean, you might like this book!

Zula is a blue whale who lives in the Atlantic Ocean. Blue whales are very cool, but Zula doesn’t think so! She wishes she was fast and colourful like the other ocean creatures.

But then Zula travels through a portal to the Royal Ontario Museum, where she learns some amazing new things about her species. Zula’s visit helps her realize that she’s special, too!

My favourite things about this book:

• It has lots of interesting facts about blue whales, like how much their tongues weigh
• It has fun pictures on every page
