Book Review: Star Wars: Jedi Academy
Calling all Star Wars fans! There’s a new graphic novel set in a middle school in a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars: Jedi Academy follows main character, Roan, in his first year at Jedi Academy through comics, journal entries, letters, and doodles.
Here’s what OWL readers Seth, Olivia, and Ryan had to say about the book.
“What I really liked about the book was the story line. It was very well written and well illustrated. I also liked the funny characters. I didn’t like how the story was a bit slow at first, but it gets exciting when the lightsaber tournament starts. I recommend it to anyone who likes Star Wars.” 9.5/10
-Seth, 11
“I loved the book! I really didn’t like how Roan talked like Master Yoda a lot, but that’s it.” 9/10
-Olivia, 11
“I really enjoyed this book because it displays all the troubles and excitement a child and their friends face during middle school. It also references the characters, adventure themes, planet, and technologies in the actual Star Wars movies.” 9/10
-Ryan, 12

A lot of kids in my class have read it so I might borrow it from one of them.
