Ahoy, readers! There’s a swashbuckling new series about pirates, magic, and treasure that we want to tell you about. Actually, OWL readers Charlotte, James, and Kate want to tell you about it!
“The Very Nearly Honorable League of Pirates: Magic Marks the Spot is an awesome book. I love the spunky attitude of the main character, and the way that the author gave all of the characters very unique personalities. This book has the perfect combination of danger, suspense, and humour, making it a good read for anyone who likes an adventure story.” 10/10
-Charlotte, 12
“I was fascinated by this book because it has so many funny things and other parts that made me not want to stop reading. I finished it in two days! I think other kids would like it because there are so many interesting notes and articles from newspapers that might’ve appeared during that time at the beginning of each chapter. Also, there are a few very big and interesting surprises closer to the end, some that might shock you! This is a great series for everyone to enjoy.” 10/10
-James, 9
“This book is really funny. I love how it has letters and newspaper clippings in it. I just wish it had been longer. It’s a brilliant story, and I definitely think other kids should read it.” 10/10
