It’s Earth Day! Every year on April 22, people around the world reflect on how to better take care of the planet.

This year’s Earth Day theme is investing in our planet. Companies around the world are trying to use less plastic and make products that are more biodegradable or earth-friendly!

There are many ways you can help protect the environment on Earth Day. Here are a few ideas!

• Composting and recycling items.
• Turning off the lights and devices when you don’t need them.
• Growing plants in your garden or in your home.
• Recycle items around your home to make something new!
• Using reusable bags and water bottles.

Celebrate Plant Appreciation Day!

Hey readers,

It’s Plant Appreciation Day today!

This holiday is held every year on April 13th and is the perfect way to celebrate Earth Month. Plants are awesome because they clean our air and our water – and they’re really cool to look at! They come in lots of different shapes, sizes, and colours and they grow all around us.

If you want to show plants how much you love them, here are some fun things you can do today:

• Plant a seed in soil and help it grow
• Go for a walk outside and look for different types of plants and flowers
• Draw a picture of your favourite plant
• Give water to a house plant or garden plant

World Piano Day Facts

Did you know March 29th is World Piano Day? To help celebrate the holiday this year, we’ve put together some fun facts for you. Take a look!

• The piano was invented over 300 years ago
• Piano Day is celebrated on the 88th day of the year because that’s how many keys there are on a piano
• Pianos can have over 12,000 different parts
• The largest piano ever built was almost 20 ft (6 m) long – thats about the size of a giraffe!
