The results of the Superpower Your School Contest are in, and we’re here to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to George S. Henry Academy, one of this year’s winners!
George S. Henry Academy teachers, students, and Green Team members
Students at this school formed their very own environmental council called the Green Team (GT). The GT’s job is to promote eco-friendly choices at school and in the community. They do this in lots of ways, including:
Putting on plays at elementary schools to teach younger kids how to be eco-friendly
Making organic lip balm out of things they grow themselves in a school garden
Tracking energy use and finding ways to make the school more efficient
In recognition of their amazing environment stewardship, the GT won $25,000 dollars’ worth of cool tech to help their school stay current and innovative. Congrats, George S. Henry Academy!
