OWL reader Abi sent us this picture of a scrumptious-looking Rice Krispies treat she made to give back over the holidays.
Abi made this awesome treat for the Treats for Toys Holiday program. Rice Krispies will donate $20 to the Salvation Army for every picture of a toy-shaped Rice Krispies treat uploaded to the RiceKrispies.ca website before December 22.
Wow! Good for you, Abi, for giving back. And very nice treat design!
In a previous issue of OWL, we asked you to send in a drawing of a cool school.
OWL reader Jake sent us this drawing!
Jake also sent us some pictures to share. Here’s what he said about them:
“When I was 7, my sister and I went to a very different school in Mpungu, Namibia. When it rained, the goats would go inside. We’d have to clean the poop out before class started the next day. I taught some boys how to play hockey in an empty classroom.”
Thanks so much for sharing your story and pics with us, Jake!
Now it’s your turn. Send us your stories, pictures, and art. They might be featured on the blog!
OWL reader Olivia sent us this photo of a sunrise she took recently. Here’s what she says about it:
“We have a lane behind my grandmother’s house. It’s called ‘Paradise Road’, but we call it ‘Wood’s Lane.’ It should be called ‘Memory Lane’ because ever since I was able to walk, that was the lane I took.”
I love this photo, Olivia! It makes me wish that I could go for a walk on Wood’s Lane.
