Celebrate Earth Day
Hi everyone,
Did you know today is Earth Day? I plan to celebrate our beautiful blue planet this month with my family. Here’s how we’re going to spread a little Earth-love:
- Plant a veggie garden: April is the perfect time to get plants like spinach and peas into the ground where I live. Nothing beats the taste of veggies fresh out of the garden.
- Go on a nature walk: We’ll see who can spot the most birds, plants or insects. When we get home, we can draw pictures of the things we saw.
- Decorate a plain tote bag: My kids can colour their bags with fabric markers while I hot-glue details like pompoms, sequins or ribbon. Every time we carry our bags to the store we’ll remember that every day can be Earth Day.
What are your Earth Day plans? Post a comment or send me an email. Here’s to a happy planet!
