Check out these Outdoor Games!
Hey readers,
Do you love games? I’ve got a few with a twist!
- Sardines: This is a twist on hide and seek. One player (the sardine) hides while everyone else seeks. The first person to find the sardine will ask, “Are you the sardine?” The sardine will answer “Yes.” The person who found the sardine then joins the sardine who is hiding. This continues until everyone ends up in the same hiding spot all squished together like a can of sardines! The last person becomes the next sardine, and then you start the game all over again.
- Tag: This fun twist allows everyone to be “It” at the same time! Start by giving each player a flag. This can be a swatch of fabric or a small hand towel if you need to improvise. Each player tucks the flag into their pocket or waistband, so that at least half of it is hanging out. Once you start, everyone takes off running away from the rest of the players. If you can get close enough to someone else, grab their flag! Once your flag is taken, you’re out. The person with the most flags wins!
- Catch: Instead of a ball, use a water balloon! Try catching the water balloon without it bursting.

I played sardines at a skating arena! It was really fun!
