Chirp Challenge: Get Moving!
Hi everyone,
Has the weather been cold where you live? Last week, temperatures were super-frosty here in Ontario! But if you’re like me, you’ve been huddling indoors instead of getting active outside. Here are some ideas for parents and kids to warm up and get moving inside:
1. Have a scavenger hunt. Parents can hide stuffed toys or racing cars all over the home. Then kids race to find them.
2. March up and down stairs or do jumping jacks. For every five minutes of TV you watch, walk up and down the stairs five times or do ten jumping jacks.
3. Try a yoga pose. Check out January/February Chirp for ideas or find a pose on the internet.
Keep moving and stay warm!
