Easter Fun!
Easter is one of my favourite times of the year. I know when Easter rolls around that the weather will soon warm up, and it’s also a great time to get together with family and friends! One of my favourite Easter activities is colouring eggs.
Here’s a fun twist on egg decorating for you to try out!
Chick Critters
1) Paint an egg to decorate the body of a chick. Let dry.
2) Use a black marker to add two dots for eyes.
3) Cut out two wings and a comb from craft foam. The “comb” is the fleshy thing that chicken’s have on top of their heads!
4) Glue on the wings and comb.
5) Tape a small piece of paper into a cone shape. Glue it just below the eyes for a beak!
Create a whole family of chick critters, or makeup your own animals!
TIP: If you want to keep your creations for longer, blow out the egg inside before you make this craft. Ask an adult to make two holes in the egg, one on the top and one on the bottom. Blow through the top hole, the egg will come out of the bottom. Save the blown out eggs to make a yummy omelette!
Rabbit Race
Challenge your friends to a big bunny race!
1) Create a starting line and a finish line.
2) Everyone stand on the starting line. Someone yells “Ready, set, hop!”
3) Instead of running towards the finish line, everyone has to hop!
The first person to hop over to the finish line, wins!
TIP: Get into real bunny character by twitching your nose and curling your hands in front of your chest as you race!
Well, that’s all for now readers.
Have a safe and hoppy weekend!
