Get Outside This Long Weekend!

There’s a long weekend coming here in Canada, which means more time to spend in the beautiful outdoors! Looking for inspiration for what to do? Check out the handy list below for some activity ideas.

• Go on a scavenger hunt. Make a list of things that can be found in your area and then have family members go out and look for them. The first one with a full list checked off wins!
• Capture nature drawings. Make rubbings by placing paper up against things in nature with different textures (like tree trunks) and rub a pencil against them to make cool works of art inspired by Mother Nature!
• Dine alfresco! “Alfresco” means “in the open air”, or “outside”. Help your parents prepare a yummy picnic then take it all to the park!
• Make up a new game! Whether it’s a simple twist on tag or a new version of hide-and-seek, you can make old games new again by adding new flavour!
