Get to Know the Sacred Ibis!

I hope you’re enjoying the November issue of chickaDEE! In this issue, we introduce you to the sacred ibis. This bird is not only cool to look at, it’s interesting, too! Here are some cool facts about the sacred ibis.
- Ancient Egyptians believed the Sacred Ibis represented Thoth, the god of wisdom.
- This bird uses it’s long, curved beak to dig in the mud for food.
- It lives in large groups, called colonies.
- The sacred ibis is usually quiet, but will sometimes make croaking or grunting sounds.
