Go-vember
Three cheers for Top 10’s! If you’ve read my letter in this month’s OWL, I’m sure you can tell that the Top 10 Issue is one of my favourite issues of the year. (The Comic Issue is right up there, too.) We started doing it in 2006 with a bunch of cool Top 10’s: jumpshot tips, wacky animal facts, and germ facts.
Also in that issue, “Alex and Charlie” writer Brian McLachlan wrote a list of reasons to celebrate November. I know some of you may have seen it, but it’s so inspiring I thought I’d post it on the blog just in case you haven’t.
So here it is (complete with links to random pictures). Enjoy!
1. Halloween night may be in October but Halloween candy is all November!
2. All the good sports are on TV, like uphill skiing, downhill hockey, and full-contact knitting.
3. People say that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. November comes in like a wolverine and out like a panther with a rattlesnake for a tail!
4. November’s birthstone is Topaz. Words with z’s in them are awezome!
5. It’s the best time to jump in piles of leaves because in the summer they’re too high up.
6. Cold enough to wear hockey jerseys, not cold enough to need snow pants.
7. Scorpio (scorpion) and Sagittarius (archer) have by far the coolest astrological symbols.
8. No big holiday = no boring car trips.
9. You don’t have to shovel the walk.
10. November thinks you’re cool.
Fun, huh? Of course, we can add one more reason to celebrate November to this list: Madison’s birthday! Madison is a long-time blog reader and the first-ever blog commenter. Happy birthday!

Thanks guys! I turned 13 yesterday, and I loved my present: Microsoft Publisher 2007. I’ll now be able to make cool newsletters and writing projects. I can’t wait to start expirementing with it! i also got this cool DVD about Sidney Crosby, the hockey player, which reminds me, Craig, can you post some more hockey highlights on the blog? How about showing some awesoem saves or hits, instead of goals.
