Hey all. Weird blog title, huh? But don’t worry. It’s not going to become a regular blog feature or anything. It just means I’ve got some BIG OWL NEWS to share with you.

Goodbye… to Aron Slipacoff
I’m sad to say it, but Aron is moving on from his position as editor of chickaDEE. I didn’t get to work closely with him, but I can say this: he was a lot of fun, helped out with a great hockey mailbag once upon a time, and will be sorely missed around here. (Especially at lunchtime in the summer.)
Hello… to Kendra Brown
You guys met Kendra on Friday with her awesome movie review. She just started at OWL, and she’s doing great so far. Fun fact: she once worked at a kids’ magazine in London, England. (True story!) I’m sure you’ll hear lots more from her in the coming weeks.
Congrats… to Mandy Ng
I know, I know. You’re thinking, “If the editor of chickaDEE left, why is there a new editor on OWL?” Well, it’s because OWL’s amazing associate editor has moved on to become chickaDEE’s new editor. Three cheers for Mandy!
When we found out Mandy would be switching desks, OWL’s art director Susan and I came up with a tribute. Here it is (an annotated picture of Mandy’s old desk):
