Greatest Football Video Ever 2.0
Hey all. If I could, I would mark this blog post “URGENT!” That’s because of the following facts:
- It was Sports Day in Canada on Saturday;
- It’s football season again, and I feel we need to honour that; and
- The last video we declared the greatest football clip ever has been deleted from YouTube. I hardly even remember what it looked like!
Moving on! I’m pretty sure the following video, taken during the final seconds of a college football game from 1982, would have made us forget the old “greatest” video anyway. Check it out (and make sure you watch it all the way to the end):

Wow! I mean, really, how many other football videos involve the band coming on to the field because they think the game’s over… when it’s not actually over, of course. I’m guessing: none!
My favourite thing about the video is the commentary. I love how hoarse the commentator’s voice gets as he calls the play and begins to realize what’s happening. Still, I feel bad for the one trombone player who gets knocked down in the endzone. Ouch!

I thought it was going to be something really stupid and not worth watching, but that was hilarious. I don’t even get football – I don’t know how to play. I’m definitely a hockey girl.
