It’s Groundhog Day, and rodents across the continent have popped out of their burrows, looking for their shadows. The tradition is that if a groundhog sees its shadow, we’ll have six more weeks of winter. If not, then spring is on its way. What did they find? Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam didn’t see his shadow and called an early spring. Pennsylvania’s Punxsutawney Phil did, so he’s calling for more winter weather. And Wiarton Willie? No shadow! Looks like it’s two groundhogs to one. Let’s see if they’re right!
