Happy International Guide Dogs Day!

Have you ever heard about guide dogs? These amazing pooches are specially trained by foster families and professional trainers to assist people who are in need.

Many people who are blind trust guide dogs to lead them around. Some people in wheelchairs have guide dogs to help them open doors and bring things over.These dogs can even be trained to dial a phone number in case of an emergency!

Just remember, if you see a guide dog at work, don’t pet or call out to it. These dogs are always on duty.
