Happy Simplicity Day!
Hey readers,
Today is National Simplicity Day! Simplicity Day was created to celebrate living life in a simple way.
One way to celebrate is taking time to relax and be in the present moment. This activity is called mindfulness and can help you feel calm and happy. If you’d like to try some mindfulness exercises this Simplicity Day, read on for some ideas!
- Pay close attention to your senses. Sit still and focus on all the things you can hear, see, taste, or touch. It’s like turning on your Spidey senses!
- Make a gratitude journal. One way to be mindful is paying attention to all the things you are thankful for. Take some time and write down list, whether it includes your parents, friends, or even your favourite meal for lunch!
- Take deep breaths. Another way to feel peaceful and mindful is to take slow, deep breaths. Inhale for five seconds through your nose, then exhale for five seconds out your mouth until you feel your body relax.
Do you have any tips for staying calm and mindful? Let us know in the comments!
