It’s Camera Day!

Hey readers,

Say cheese and smile big, because today is National Camera Day! Cameras help us capture awesome moments and memories forever. Without cameras, we wouldn’t have any cool pictures to put in Chickadee! So to show thanks for this awesome technology this year, we’ve put together some fun facts for you. Take a look!

• Over 1 trillion photos are taken every year.
• The first camera flashes were actually created by sparking chemicals to create a bright light.
• The cameras used to take photos of the moon’s surface are still on the moon! The astronauts thought they were too heavy to bring back.
• The first camera was invented over 200 years ago
