Make a Pickle-Gator!
Hi readers,
We just missed it by a few days, but did you know that last week was International Pickle Week? In honour of the pickle-icious week, here’s a recipe for a fun treat. Warning: You must LOVE pickles!
PICKLE-GATOR
You’ll need:
3 dill pickles
2 olives
6 small toothpicks
What to do:
1. Ask an adult to cut a slit down the middle of a large pickle for the alligator’s mouth. Cut the other pickles into halves. You should have four pickle halves in total.
2. Use two toothpicks to stick on two olives for eyes.
3. Use four toothpicks to attach four pickle halves for legs.
Gobble up your gator with a friend — and remember to take out the toothpicks before munching! Did you make the pickle-gator? Send us a picture at chickadeeblog@owlkids.com.
Have a great weekend,
Mandy
