Beat the Heat with these Watermelon Pops!
Hey readers,
Watermelon is one of those foods that just goes with summer – like hot chocolate belongs with winter! Nothing beats a slice of watermelon on a hot day (hmm… oh, sorry, I was just thinking about lunch!) but did you know that there’s much more you can do with this water-packed fruit?

Watermelon Salad Pops
You’ll Need:
- Watermelon
- Feta cheese
- Blueberries
- Mint
- Popsicle sticks
Directions:
- Ask an adult to cut watermelon into triangle shapes.
- Jab popsicle sticks through the bottom of each triangle. (Ask an adult to insert a knife first, to make a hole for the popsicle stick to go into).
- Layer watermelon pops on a plate.
- Sprinkle with feta, fruit and a bit of fresh mint. Enjoy!
If you’re not a fan of feta cheese, you can leave this ingredient out. Feta and watermelon go great together, though. So if you’re just worried about trying it, take the risk! You might be surprised at how yummy this combo is. Plus, it’s fun to try new food!
Happy eating!
