The Amazing Animal in the September 2018 issue is the octopus! Here are some fun and weird facts about octopuses.
- Octopuses have three hearts. One of them pumps blood through the body, and the other two pump blood through the gills.
- Most octopuses eat crabs, fish, shrimp and clams, but some eat small sharks!
- Octopuses build their own houses made of rocks. These houses are called dens.
- Even the largest octopus in the world starts out small – it hatches from an egg the size of a grain of rice!
- Octopuses are very smart. They can even solve mazes!
