Movie News: Great White Shark
You may not know this about me, but I love sharks (well, love and fear them). So when I got the chance to go see the movie Great White Shark at the Ontario Science Centre’s OMNIMAX Theatre last week, I jumped at it!
First of all, this theatre has a giant dome screen that is 4,500 times bigger than an average TV screen with 44 speakers blasting 13,000 watts of sound. Imagine watching a great white shark swim in front of you on a screen like that! Watch the trailer below and try.
But aside from being big, bold, and just generally awesome, this documentary is also important and interesting. Many of us fear great white sharks because we imagine that they are monsters. But this documentary takes a closer look at the species, and the myths that surround them, to show us that sharks are so much more.
If you get a chance to see this film, I recommend that you do.
What about you? Do you love or fear sharks?

I went to the Imax twice. The first time I saw a dinosaur movie, and the second time I saw Flight of the Butterflies. Both in 3D! It was awesome.
Dinosaurs are super cool in 3D!
