MOVIE NEWS: Saving Luna
Hey all. You’ve probably heard of The Tale of Despereaux, Marley & Me, and Bolt, but there’s another amazing animal movie out there you may not have heard of yet. Unlike those others, though, this one’s a documentary and might be a little harder to find in theatres.
The movie’s called Saving Luna. It’s about a very unique killer whale — named Luna, of course! — who lives in an inlet in British Columbia and is friendly with anyone and everyone. Sound strange? Sound incredible? Well, that’s because
it was.
Here’s the trailer:

I recommend this movie to anyone interested in wild life. But here’s a quick warning: there are lots of sweet moments and funny moments, but some sad moments as well.
If this sounds up your alley, check your local listings or the movie’s website to find a screening near you!

that looks so sweet. i want to see that now.
I do NOT want to see it.
And Craig in the contest for OWL the march mag. the contest with the comic says at least one to four panels long. I don’t know what panel means. Is one strip? Or one block?
Hi Mara. A panel is a box with art in it (so, to put it in context, there are five panels on the first page of “Max Finder”). Hope that helps!
I am not really interested in documentarys but i want to see it just because of the fact that its a whale. have you ever seen he movie Spirited away? its really good. its about a girl whose parents are pigs so now she has to turn them back. its kinda sad……
atleast it has a happy ending.
Just got the March issue of OWL, and really, all I have to say is AMAZING!!!!! I love the new Max artist’s drawing style, and I REALLY love the way CTON did the calender! Great issue!
Hey Madison. Thanks! I’m a big fan of every issue of OWL, but I felt like the March issue was extra special. Glad you liked it too!
thanks craig that helps!!!! another question What does OWL stand for?
Craig, I want to thank you for putting an ariticle about manga in the March 2007 issue. If not , I would have continued to judge manga by its slightly ugly art(I hate those tiny noses!). I never would have thought they were any good. I would have continued to think they were dumb, along with anime. Now I like it, and I’ve read a few books.
I think that documentary looks really good.
Hey Craig, why not having an pool on the blog! I think you should show all the OWL covers from the last five years and ask us which is our favourate. It would be cool to see all the past covers from over the years. Could you consider it?
Hey Craig, have you and your staff have any plans of having another “Idol Showdown” theme in the Hot Topic section anytime soon? I really liked all the past ones!
Has Owlkids ever considered making a magazine for teens? Just wondering.
Hi Craig. Like Madison, I abosolutely love the March OWL mag. I really like drawing comics. Question: Can you enter the Comic Contest more than once? By the way, my birthday is on March 3rd. What day is your birthday on, Craig?
This is the 4612th comment!

No, if Iclick on the date, it says up in the corner the number, and sorry, it’s actually the 4614th comment.
Hey, Hailey. Sadly, a lot of those were spam. There are actually 2,496 comments on the blog. Still pretty good, right? You guys are great!
OOOOOhhhh, now I get it….it’s still alot though!
craig, Who founded OWL???
oh, I just watched the trailer, please don’t tell me it’s got an unhappy ending, although everyone seems to be speaking about him in the past tense… 🙁
