Movie Review: Zootopia
It’s here, it’s here! Zootopia officially bounds into theaters today. I was lucky enough to see it a couple days early, and I promise you this tall tale will hop right into your heart.
Meet Judy Hopps, a little bunny with a big dream: to be the very first bunny police officer. So she sets off for Zootopia, the massive metropolis where all animals, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, live together in harmony. In Zootopia, anyone can be anything.
But Judy learns pretty quick that nothing is that simple. All the other officers at the Zootopia Police Department are big, brawny animals who don’t believe Judy will ever be a real cop. Determined to prove her worth, Judy takes on an impossible case that she can only crack with the help of a con-man fox named Nick Wilde. If they succeed, they’ll be heroes. If they fail, Judy will have to go back to the carrot farm, and Zootopia will continue to be terrorized by a mysterious threat.
If you like fast-paced stories starring smart, resourceful characters who fight for what’s right, this film’s for you! And did I mention that it’s absolutely hilarious? Check out the trailer below for proof:
So what do you think? Will you go see Zootopia?
