Munsch at Home Contest

What’s even better than reading a classic Robert Munsch story aloud with your family? How about writing a story with your family for Robert Munsch to read aloud at a party in your own house?

That’s right: enter a story in the Munsch at Home Contest, and you could win a visit from the great Canadian writer himself. The contest is going on now, and the rules are simple:

1. Team up with an adult;
2. Write a story of no more than 250 words on the theme of playing games;
3. Enter your story online by November 25, 2010, at 5:00 PM (EST).

The contest is being put on by ABC Life Literacy Canada in celebration of Family Literacy Day, which is coming up on January 27, 2011. For those not in the know, FLD is all about encouraging families to read and learn together on a daily basis.
