National Indigenous Peoples Day
Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada! It is a day to celebrate the diverse cultures, heritage and amazing achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. There are so many celebrations across Canada where you can celebrate and learn. Check your local listings to find out about how you can celebrate in your area. If you’re in the Ottawa area, try the Ottawa Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival. It starts today and runs through the weekend with tons of events.
