Olympic Fever – Cindy Ouellet

The 2012 Summer Paralympic Games are coming to a close as of September 9. Team Canada has had a stellar performance and a huge congratulations to the entire team, including Cindy Ouellet, who’s the focus of our last Super Athlete spotlight.

Name: Cindy Ouellet

Sport: Wheelchair Basketball

About Cindy: Nicknamed “The Hornet”, Cindy is one of the quickest and toughest athletes in the sport. She was introduced to basketball by a physiotherapist back in 2005 and two years later, she won a gold medal at the Canada Games. Her training is just as intense as her game with a mix of cardio, rowing, pilates, weightlifting, and hoop shooting practice.

Cindy and her teammates will be playing against China today. We’ll be cheering them on!
