OWL: The Movie (Part II)
Anyone who’s ever seen the Planet Earth documentary series understands the power of a good video camera. Filming things at high speed with high definition allows filmmakers to show super-clear images in super-slow motion, so viewers really get a sense of how things work.
Speaking of which, have you ever watched an owl fly in slow motion? It’s pretty mesmerizing. See for yourself:

Cool, huh? It’s like it’s coming right out of the computer at you!
The owl in the video is an eagle owl. Last time we discussed the eagle owl on the blog, I didn’t have that much information. But check out what I’ve dug up on it this time!:
- It is known for its size, often measuring 70 cm (2.3 ft.) in length.
- Its scientific name is Bubo bubo (say: BOO-bow BOO-bow).
- It is [still] an owl!
Yes, OWL readers, the more things change the more they stay the same, huh? Talk to you later in the week!
