OWL Voices – Aiza
In this edition of OWL Voices, Aiza tell us about Aiza’s Teddybear Foundation.
My name is Aiza, I am a 16 year old, grade 11 student.
Last year I founded Aiza’s Teddybear Foundation, a non-profit organization that strives to empower youth and influence positivity. We do this by donating stuffed toys and school supplies to ill and underprivileged children in Ontario.
So far we have distributed over 700 stuffed toys which are all donated by generous members of our community and schools in our area.
We also visit students at schools and children at homeless shelters where we decorate paper butterflies and gingerbread cutouts. We hang these colorful, positive messages on the walls of shelters to inspire kids to always remain hopeful and encourage them to look to the bright side of every situation!
We want to give children stuffed toys, school, and art supplies because we believe that these tools are the first step in allowing children to have the passion for learning and creating that they deserve.
Aiza’s Teddybear Foundation inspires youth to express themselves creatively and make a difference! Even something as small as making your friend smile can change their lives forever. So if it’s that easy to change the world…let’s work together and do it!
