OWL World Watch: Helping Haiti
Hello blog! The news of the day: April issues of OWL are either a) on their way to you, or b) in your hands. The other news: one of the features in the magazine comes complete with a web-only add-on, and you can read it right now.
The feature I’m talking about is called “A Helping Hand for Haiti,” and it’s all about how Canadians are helping Haiti recover from a string of natural disasters — including the much-discussed earthquake that hit the country in January.
The web-only addition to the feature includes expanded info, timelines, interviews, games, and a poll, as well as downloadable PDF documents that
will help YOU continue to help Haiti.

P.S. Correction alert! In the “Helping Haiti” feature, we said the Richter scale measures the strength of an earthquake on a scale from 1.0 to 9.0. In fact, it’s an open-ended scale with no limit. Sorry about that!

Have you checked out Reality Island in poptropica? It just came out to the public!
Typically, the Richter scale goes up to 9, but there are earthquake that have exceeded that. It’s amazing, but scary.
I’m really looking forward to my new OWL issue.

Just a note for Katie (the author), I left a comment on your Yuki-chan drawing blog post…thing. Check it out! As for Haiti! Kaaah! I`m so glad we`re helping! We`ve donated money, sent troops, it`s just so great to know Canada, which has so much diversity and culture (yay!), is helping Haiti to rebuild it`s communities to hopefully make them look better than ever!

Maybe you could pop on over the haruhisuzumiya.net and read some of the news about Haruhi. There’s going to be a 2nd season and in Japan there’s a movie!
If you wan’t to help Haiti even more, you can go on to Itunes and download “We are the world” for three dollars that they donate to Haiti. Get a good song and donate to Haiti!
