OWL World Watch
Hey all. Now that the November issues of OWL are printed and on their way to you (it’s true! Yay!), I thought I’d take a minute and direct you to the cool web-only add-on to one of the features in the magazine.
The feature is called “Food for Thought,” and it’s all about how creative thinking is improving life for kids in Afghanistan. It includes lots of info and interviews, including one with a Canadian kid named Alaina Podmorrow. Alaina is the founder of Little Women for Little Women, an organization dedicated to helping the “little women of Afghanistan.” Just one note about that: it’s amazing.
So, you probably can’t wait to read it, right? You’re super excited? Well, I won’t keep you then. Click here to head straight to the “Food for Thought” online feature.
Talk to you soon!
Craig, owlblog@owlkids.com
P.S. While you’re in a worldly mood, go ahead and check out an awesome chickaDEE web feature as well. It’s about life in Tanzania, and how a Canadian organization is helping books get written by Tanzanian authors in Swahili. Also, meet a Tanzanian kid named Ester!

Hi Mara. “High-tech, low-tech, or no-tech” means that your invention can involve lots of technology, a little technology, or no technology at all. Your invention can be computerized with tons of bells and whistles (high-tech), or, if you prefer, carved out of wood or stone (no-tech). It’s up to you!
