Chirp, Chickadee, and OWL magazines are a springboard to active thinking and learning. They engage students with a plethora of fun and interactive reading activities, and they get kids excited about reading. Click on our classroom guides listed below to find out how.
The magazines can be woven into curriculum areas such as: language arts, social studies and science. They can also supplement core reading materials and be used to support reading, oral language and writing strategies.
Owlkids magazines provide accessible text and multiple entry points within the text, setting up students to succeed. Background information to build content schema and embedded features like: subheads, sidebars, lists, photos and illustrations are also present for further comprehension and to guide critical thinking.
Connecting content to students’ lives and experiences in meaningful ways, along with engaging, informing and educating readers is what makes Chirp, Chickadee and OWL unique and cherished by parents and teachers alike.
