RAotW #18
Afternoon, all. Hold onto your hats, start your engines, etc., because the wait for the new edition of Reader Art of the Week is over!
This week’s art comes to us courtesy of blog reader Marissa, and it couldn’t possibly be better timed. Check it out:
July
July
Hot, relaxed
Swimming, sunbathing, camping
Awesome, totally fun
Summer
Cool, huh? Thanks to Marissa’s spot-on word choice, there’s a very warm and lazy vibe to the poem that perfectly suits this time of year. In fact, this could be the theme poem of OWL’s “Cool Summer” issue! (Out now!)
Many, many thanks to Marissa for sharing her art with us. I’ve got a few things waiting in the RAotW queue, but I can always use more. Send me YOUR poems, short stories, drawings, and photos today!
Talk to you later.
Craig, owlblog@owlkids.com

Hey Marissa – sorry I didn’t answer your question earlier. You asked what Cottage Life Kids is: Cottage Life magazine has just started a blog for kids and families with ideas for games, activities, and ideas for fun at the cottage. Thanks for asking!
Marwyn – thanks for catching my typo!
Oh….thanks Liann
