RAotW #20: From the OWL Vault Edition
This blog post is totally hip. That’s because it’s a mash-up. Essentially we’ve taken two of our favourite features (Reader Art of the Week and From the OWL Vault) and put them together.
Well, in truth, we haven’t — blog reader Mara has! She made an OWL craft, took a photo of it, and sent it to me for RAotW. Check it out:
Wicked! This craft is called a “Hot Pocket,” and it’s used to hold all your stuff (keys, snacks, library cards, etc.) when you go out. We told you how to make one in the Summer 2007 issue. If you don’t have that issue handy, never fear. Click here to read the article!
I love the cool additions Mara made to her pocket. Ours was pretty plain, and Mara used 3-D paint to spice it up. Nice one, Mara! Many thanks!
And that’s it for me, OWLers! If you’ve tried an OWL craft recently, or have written a story or poem, or have drawn anything you’re particularly proud of, don’t hesitate to send me the evidence at the email address below.
Talk to you soon.

Yea, I agree with Tia and Katie(the author). They do look like eyes. Did you mean for them to look like that?
🙂

Hey Craig, did you get my e-mail? 🙂
Hey Tia. Sorry, I haven’t seen it yet. I’ve been out of the office the last couple days. I’ll drop you a line when I get it!
Amazingly awesome. So artistic.
