Hi all. Who’s up for some Reader Art [of the Week]? I know I am!
This week’s art comes to us from blog reader Marissa, and it comes to us in the form of painted flat stones. Check ’em out:
Cool, huh? Marissa informs me she made these rock bugs at her cabin. I like how they all make up a family, and I think my favourite is the littlest one. But that’s a tough call!

The big ones name is Miranda, The medium one on the left is Katie, the medium one on the right is named Holly, and the baby one is named Benny!

OMG!!! That is so cool!! My little brother’s name is Benny!!!! When I read their name’s I smiled. And the other three name’s are nice too.

Thanks! I make them whenever I go to my cabin……they take a while to make, though. Miranda took about an hour to make but Benny was defenitly the hardest becausehe was about the size of my thumb and the detail took forever! But it is totally worth it! Maybe if you guys make some, you can send them to Craig who can send them to me and I can see all the awesome work you guys do!

Good questions! This is both the “OWL blog” and “Craig’s blog.” Officially, it’s “Craig’s Blog: Notes from the Editor of OWL Magazine,” but I like saying “OWL blog” just so I don’t have to repeat my own name all the time. Sorry if there’s any confusion around that!
Also, I did get your story, and I’m going to take a read as soon as possible. Our office is closing down for the holidays tomorrow and we won’t be back until January 3. However, not to worry â I’ll be checking in over the next week with some other stuff for you guys!
