RAotW #28
As many of you know, RAotW normally stands for Reader Art of the Week. This week, however, it stands for Reader Art of the Winter Break! I hope you’re all having fun and enjoying your time off with family and friends — and, of course, are up for some awesome art, too.
This week’s very well-timed art comes to us courtesy of blog reader Marissa. Check it out:
Wow! We’ve featured stories, poems, drawings, paintings, photos, digital art, and even some food art on the OWL blog, but this is our very first sculpture. Marissa tells me she created this elf in her Art 3-D class at school. Here’s how she did it (in her own words):
I made this elf by, first, making a cone out of clay. I then hollowed it out and used the clay that was in the cone to make the face, etc. It was really fun! I then painted it and glazed it!
There you have it, OWL readers! Many thanks to Marissa for sending this in.
Also, if YOU would like to submit some art for Reader Art of the Week, please do! Just drop me a line owlblog@owlkids.com.
Talk to you soon.
Craig, owlblog@owlkids.com

Hey Oscar! Sadly, I didn’t receive any of those emails. If you like, try sending them again to owlblog@owlkids.com. You can also post a comment with a question for the mailbag.
Did you get my e-mail?
Hey Oscar. I’m out of the office for the holidays, but I’ll look for your email when I get back next week. All the best!
Hi Craig,
Do you ever think OWL should be called anything else?
