RAotW #40
Whew! I don’t know what it’s like where you guys are, but ever since I got back from Langley earlier this week it has been hot here in Toronto. Even during thunderstorms (which we seem to get all the time now?), it’s awfully warm.
Anyway, speaking of hot stuff, how about some Reader Art of the Week? This week’s art comes to us from blog reader Sydney. Check it out:
Cool! I love the perspective this is taken from, as it allows us to see so much: the ocean, the green space, the city buildings, the fluffy white clouds… even the mountain range way off in the background! One of the tricks of photography is finding the perfect angle for every shot, and Sydney aced that here.
Also, by the way, I’m considering writing a letter to Hawaii, the state where this shot was taken. It would say this: “Dear Hawaii, here is your new postcard!” In fact, to prove what a great postcard this shot would make, I asked OWL’s awesome designer, Caroline, to add in a little text for us. Click here to see what she came up with.
Fun, huh? Many thanks to Sydney for sending in her photo, and many as well to Caroline for helping out on such a busy day.
Talk to you tomorrow!
