If you take a look at the Calendar section in your most recent issue of OWL (don’t worry… I’ll wait!), you’ll notice that it is Great Outdoors Month. What better way to celebrate than with some seriously outdoorsy art? Luckily, I’ve got some right here!
This week’s art comes to us from blog reader Amanda and, like last week, it comes to us in the form of photography. Check it out:
Cool, huh? Amanda’s timing on this photo is impeccable — she caught the fern just as it was in full sunlight. However, the thing that really impresses me about this shot is the perspective.
Last week, we saw a photographer get high up to take a shot of something. This week, our photographer got down low and up close to her subject so it’s looming as large as possible in the frame. Sometimes that’s all it takes to turn a good photo into a great one!
Many thanks to Amanda for sending in her photo. As always, if YOU’d like to share a piece of YOUR art with the world (whether it be a photo, drawing, painting, story, poem, photo, collage, or just about anything else…), email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Talk to you tomorrow!
