RAotW #41
If you take a look at the Calendar section in your most recent issue of OWL (don’t worry… I’ll wait!), you’ll notice that it is Great Outdoors Month. What better way to celebrate than with some seriously outdoorsy art? Luckily, I’ve got some right here!
This week’s art comes to us from blog reader Amanda and, like last week, it comes to us in the form of photography. Check it out:
Cool, huh? Amanda’s timing on this photo is impeccable — she caught the fern just as it was in full sunlight. However, the thing that really impresses me about this shot is the perspective.
Last week, we saw a photographer get high up to take a shot of something. This week, our photographer got down low and up close to her subject so it’s looming as large as possible in the frame. Sometimes that’s all it takes to turn a good photo into a great one!

Speaking of the next issue, Craig, I just moved and my address on the OWL magazine has not switched. My Mom changed it online but the OWL magazine is still being sent to my old house. I haven’t gotten the latest issue yet =)

Hey Hannah, 11! Do you mean the summer issue? If so, I don’t think anyone has it just yet. But it should be mailing out soon.
Okay, good. Did you know that I got the birthday issue three times? One in the mail that I get normally, one from you that you signed, and Benny and I won one of the prize-packs from the OWL thing, which included the birthday issue. Wow. That’s a lot of issues.
I am soooooo happy about meeting you, Craig. It was a dream-come-true.
