Hey all. And happy September! I know at least one OWL blog reader (what’s up, Emily?) started school yesterday, and I’m sure everyone else will be back in action by next Tuesday. But whether you’re getting back to class or soaking up the last few days of summer vacation, it’s always a good time to check out some Reader Art of the Week. So, um, here we go!
This week’s art comes to us from blog reader Aaren, the winner of OWL’s recent Creative Creature Contest. Check out her self portrait:
Cool, huh? This is the first computer-generated art we’ve featured on the OWL blog. Aaren drew this using a program called Adobe Illustrator. She says, “It is a cartoonish version of me doing my favorite dance move in my pointe shoes.”

I have a question for you Aaren. How do you do computer art on Adobe Illustrator?
well Owlkid17, do you already have adober illustrator downloaded?? if you not u can get a trial version on the adobe website , just search adobe illustrator CS4…..then you have abunch of options, the pen , or the caligraphy style stroke(my fave) and u can do shapes and stuff
