RAotW #55

Last week, I requested that you guys send me some art because my Reader Art of the Week cupboard was bare. That very same night, blog reader Amanda sent me an email with photos attached. Nice!

For her dedication, Amanda wins the second ever OWL Blog Reader of the Week Award! (For those keeping score, the first one was given to a reader named Madison way back in April, 2008.) Congrats, Amanda! Thank you for answering the call so swiftly.

Now that’s cool!

Amanda tells me the flying object at the centre of this picture is a hummingbird moth (not a hummingbird, though it hovers like one). I love the crispness and depth of focus in this shot. And now that the weather is starting to turn cold here in Toronto, it’s nice to see a super-bright, sunny outdoor scene.
