RAotW #59
Hi all. I woke up today half terrified that it was an OWL Blog Book Club day, and that I wasn’t going to be able to write the post because I haven’t finished Swindle yet. But, as you avid Book Clubbers know, we’re not meeting to discuss that one until Tuesday, November 29. So we all have lots of time to get the book read!
However, just because today isn’t an OWL Blog Book Club day, that doesn’t mean I don’t have a great blog post up my sleeve. In fact, it means I get to post a new edition of Reader Art of the Week.
Today’s art comes to us courtesy of blog reader Madeleine. Check it out:
Cool, huh? I like how this picture has a nice sense of depth with interesting things in the foreground, middle ground, and background. The plants at the front of the shot also offer a kind of natural frame, don’t you think?
Here’s a description of the shot in Madeleine’s own words:
I took it on the way back from visiting my grandma in Kelowna. We went to look around in all these tunnels in the rocks that were made for a railway more than a hundred years ago!
Awesome! Thanks to Madeleine not only for the photo, but for the excellent description as well. If you want YOUR photos, drawings, stories, or poems up on the blog, email them to me at owlblog@owlkids.com.
Talk to you soon!
Craig, owlblog@owlkids.com

Here are some questions for the mailbag:

what is your favourite place in the world?
Do you love your job?(that’s easy!!)
Could we have another blog party?
What is your favourite part of christmas?
When is the next reverse mailbag??

Awesome, Madeleine!
Great picture, Madeleine-I like how the leaves are covering the rocks a little and how there’s something that looks a little like stone steps leading up to the rock on the right!
GREAT PHOTO
What do you mean “the history behind it”?
IT IS SNOWING WHERE I LIVE! AND TONS OF WIND TOO!
I HAD TO WALK HOME COVERED IN SNOW…
Hey Nicole! Wow. It hasn’t snowed much in Toronto (a couple of flakes here and there…), but the temperature’s dropping fast. It’s bound to happen sooner or later…!
It’s snowing like mad here too!
Poor you:-(
It snowed here, but it never lasted more than a few days untill last time, just not a lot of it. I’m really hoping for for more. Its “snow” much fun to play in the snow during recess.
It snowed let night and I don’t think it’s going away anytime soon.
Yaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!! Snows so much fun.
Yup it’s really white here. Our teacher makes a huge pile for sledding close to our school every year.He makes them so awesome!!
